About the Studio
The Core
crAIzy studio is an experimental research space exploring the intersection of generative AI, new media art, and contemporary storytelling.
Origin
Born from teaching practices at Universität der Künste Berlin, the studio develops playful yet critical approaches to understanding how automated systems shape our narratives, opinions, and creative processes.
The Absurd
We embrace the absurd. Like a Rube Goldberg machine that takes the longest possible route to accomplish simple tasks, our projects deliberately chain together AI processes to reveal the strange and sometimes hilarious outcomes of algorithmic collaboration.
The Principle
The studio operates on a principle: the best way to understand how AI generates meaning is to build systems that generate beautiful nonsense — and then ask what makes it nonsense in the first place.
